WPI Women’s 2V8 finished 5th in the grand final with a time of 7:12, soundly defeating a strong Pacific Lutheran boat that had bested them yesterday evening in the repachage, and hot on the heels of Wesleyan, Williams, Wellesley, and first place finisher Bates. The 1V8 rowed a blazing final in 6:46, 1 sec behind 2nd place Ithaca, and 5 sec behind the winner, Bates. The combined strong performance of our two boats earned WPI a third place spot in the team points award, the highest ever honors earned at an NCAA championship by any WPI team in school history. Congratulations to our awesome women’s crew!!! And many thanks to friends and family who came to support us, and the ever constant buzz of our alumni sending well wishes and AMFs! The collective karma is amazing!!! Also, thank you to our outgoing captains, Jasmine and Abby, for their great leadership. And welcome Eva and Marlies, next year’s captains.
Hoo Rah!!!
